July 2009 we sponsored our 18th Annual Student Scholarship Award Night. We had 8 students who received $800.00 each this year. Our keynote speaker was Jennifer Nathan representing Congressman Gary Peters of the 9th District of Michigan. The dinner was donated by the members of our local chapter. It was good night. Hargett, James Martinez, John Martinez, Lorena Reyes, Ana Rodriguez, and Maxwell Z. Torres. Each year we try to out do the previous year, some years we have been able to raise more funds than others. Hopefully this years event can be as good or better than in years past. Thank you to all those who contribute their time and energy to help make this event a success.
